Ladies of the church,
Ladies of the far right wing,
Ladies of the “Pro-Life” Movement,
You know not of what you do.
For tens of years and years,
You stand outside of Planned Parenthood
Like a scorned woman, posting your vile paper signs.
Making women feel ashamed
Making women feel guilty
Making women feel scared
Making women feel like some men make them do,
Including resorting sometimes to violence,
Just when a woman is trying to walk into a building
Just when a woman needs the help that no one else will give
or a woman that can’t afford anywhere else to go for the sake of their health and well-being.
Shame on you.
Women need women for matters of our body.
Women need an OBGYN.
Women need to be able to get treatment for a disease they can’t afford from a hospital.
Women need a doctor that can support their pregnancy or end it,
No matter the circumstances.
And this woman should not be made to feel guilty by someone that does not know their life, their condition, their pain, or their overall reason for entering these doors.
Shame on you.
You are a woman.
You should understand.
Shame on you.
Before casting the first stone,
Before casting judgement,
Make the time to really learn about the place you are fighting.
See what’s on the other side.
Stop just listening to the shoutings of others.
Don’t be a sheep.
You may surprise even yourself.
